Closure or delayed opening of schools, because of inclement weather conditions are made by the Superintendent and his staff by 6:00 a.m., after road conditions have been assessed at critical points throughout the district and weather conditions have been reviewed. Local radio stations and TV stations are then notified of the decision and will broadcast news of the decision throughout the day.

At the NPS School Board Meeting tonight, our School Board approved the recommendation to increase the substitute teacher pay rate to $100/day. In addition, if a substitute teacher teaches six days in a pay period, they will receive a $100 bonus.Negaunee Public Schools uses ESS/WillSub.
