Minutes of the Special Meeting of the Board of Education, Negaunee Public Schools, City of Negaunee, County of Marquette, and State of Michigan, held on March 11, 2003, at the Negaunee High School Library.

Members Present: Fae Collins, Art Gischia, Dan Hintsala, Osmond T. “Spike” Kemp, Virginia Paulson, and Martin Saari

Members Absent: None

Administrators Present:

James Derocher, Superintendent

Others Present: None

142. The meeting was called to order by President Dan Hintsala at 7:00 p.m.

143. A quorum of the board was established.

144. Motion by V. Paulson, supported by M. Saari, to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried 7-0.

145. New Business:

A. Motion by A. Gischia, supported by F. Collins, to approve the Resolution for Annexation of the Powell Township School District. Motion carried 7-0.

147. Other business - none

148. Motion by M. Saari, supported by F. Collins, to adjourn the meeting at 7:27 p.m. Motion carried 7-0.
